Building a multi-billion dollar theme park in the Philippines
Yang Zhihui, Chairman and Executive Director of Landing International Development Limited, met with President Rodrigo Duterte to discuss the proposed five-year development program that will reclaim 147 hectares of the Manila Bay. This proposed investment into the Philippines was welcomed by the Philippines President and has expressed his interest and support for it.
“Following our first meeting with the President in May 2017 in Hong Kong to discuss investment opportunities in the Philippines, we are pleased to share with President Duterte our vision for tourism in the country and our proposal to build an iconic branded theme park integrated resort on the Philippines that all Filipinos will be very proud of,” Yang said in a statement.
The proposed development is a three-phase project that would be Asia’s first movie-themed indoor theme park, which will include a water park and other leisure and entertainment facilities suitable for all ages and families.
This theme park will complement existing tourist attractions and resorts enhancing the Philippines’ tourism appeal. It is also expected to generate jobs for thousands of Filipino locals and for returning Filipinos who are working overseas. With an increase on tourism it also makes the Philippines a good investment for those looking for an international property investment.
